This beautiful mama recently joined me for her in studio maternity session and we had such a great time! She was able to wear several different gowns. We also used gorgeous floral backdrops for a little drama.

I get to work with a lot of cake smash themes and I’m always so excited to see what parents come up with. Eli’s mom let me know that he loves any Italian food, but especially pizza. Of course we had to do a pizza themed cake smash session!

Our set featured all the yummy things you’d find on a pizza- lots of real veggies, cooking utensils, and a pizza shop backdrop. It’s a good thing all of the veggies were edible! It took Eli a little bit to warm up to the idea of cake, but he was all about the tomatoes and peppers! He’s my kind of kid, he also really loved the bread.

Eli’s cake was made by my friends at Aileen’s Cake Decor (check them out in Midtown Pueblo if you ever need a cake!) and it looked just like a deep dish pizza! Eli liked eating it, but he really loved trying to pick it up. He almost made it too, and the grown ups in the room were cracking up!

Did you know cakes aren’t just for picking up or eating? They’re the perfect cozy spot to sit too! Eli scooted right up to his cake until he was almost sitting on it.
