Two and a half years ago when I opened my first studio a sweet couple came to my open house with the most adorable baby boy. Little did I know that they would become some of my very favorite clients, and that I’d have the honor of watching that little baby grow into a big boy! I first photographed William just a few months after we met. Since then he’s come in to see me several times for his first birthday cake smash, holiday mini sessions, his second birthday paint session and more.
When William comes to see me he has to visit the dragon down the street first. My photography studio is in the Mesa Junction area of Pueblo and there’s great sculptures all around. Just down the street is a dragon sculpture and William loves it! Sometimes I’m lucky and William lets me walk with him to visit the dragon.
After visiting the dragon William is ready for his photos! This time we did his 3 year photos and he looked quite handsome for them! Since he’s spent so much time in front of my camera William is an old pro. We play games and act goofy to get the best smiles!
Silly Mr. William also had his mom ask me if he could bring his Superman cape for some of his photos. I got a chuckle when he came out dressed in his Superman underwear, a Superman cape and red rainboots. It was completely William, and I love that his parents let him choose one of his outfits! I won’t be sharing those, but I do have this one from the very end of his session. As he was getting ready William remembered the Batman cape in his bag that matched his shirt and we made sure to get a photo of that for him too.
I loved doing William’s 3 year photos, and I’ve loved getting to watch him grow from a baby into a big boy! Thank-you to his mom and dad for trusting me with these special memories!
